Berlin Fishing Report: The water level at Berlin was measured at 2.69 feet below normal for this time of year, with a sensor temperature of 56.48°, and a buoy temperature 1 foot below surface level of 57.08°. Recent rain this past Thursday & Friday, have brought the water level up on the Mahoning, and there are reports of increased numbers of white bass. Anglers have found fishing upstream closer to the dam to produce better results; try setting up near Greenbower and Rockhill. Beetle Spins, Rooster Tails, Roadrunners and Bobby Garland soft plastics on 1/16 and 1/8 jigheads are yielding...

Berlin lakes water level is -2.61 from summer “normal” and dam buoy temp at 1 foot deep is 52.5 degrees.  As these improve, so should fishing. White bass are in the Mahoning River!  Look for them closer to the mouth of the river (Greenbower St. bridge) due to lack of rain we have had recently, or in deeper holes farther upriver.   Rooster Tails, Beetle Spins, and Gulp Minnows are recommended.  We’ve heard reports of crappie being caught on Greenbower and Rockhill, scattered at Price Street, and quite a few at Walborn using jigs tipped with grubs, minnows, and Twister...

This is our first Erie report of '21 and we will continue these posts as long as we get solid, reliable data to relay to you guys, they will continue.   Most of our customers have been fishing in and around Kelley's island although we have had really good reports coming out of Cleveland as well.  If you want to try Cleveland, try running Perfect 10s over 3.0mph in water from 15-25ft deep.  Reaction strikes have been good as the fish are coming out of spawn, looking to feed.   In and around Kelley's, we are hearing 30-40 feet of water has...

4/23/21 Fishing Report

White bass are in the Mahoning River but fishing is slow due to low water levels. Rooster Tails, Beetle Spins, and Gulp Minnows are recommended.  We’ve heard some reports of crappie being caught on Greenbower and Rockhill, scattered at Price Street, and quite a few at Walborn using jigs tipped with grubs, minnows, and Twister Tails. Crappie are averaging 8-10”. Walleye have been caught by anglers wading and on boats with 1/16oz and 1/8oz jigs tipped with nightcrawlers. 4/16/21 Fishing Report

Berlin’s water level is currently -2.63 from normal and the temperature at the dam buoy at 1 ft deep is 52.5. The white bass run has officially begun in the Mahoning River.  Use Rooster Tails, Beetle Spins, and Gulp minnows. Crappie fishing has improved within the last couple days with some reports of catching up to forty fish. There have been some reports of crappie being caught on Price Street.
