4/16/21 Fishing Report

Berlin’s water level is currently -2.63 from normal and the temperature at the dam buoy at 1 ft deep is 52.5. The white bass run has officially begun in the Mahoning River.  Use Rooster Tails, Beetle Spins, and Gulp minnows. Crappie fishing has improved within the last couple days with some reports of catching up to forty fish. There have been some reports of crappie being caught on Price Street. Panfish Assassins, crappie bites, and minnows have been used to catch them.  A few musky have been caught at the Westbranch dam on bucktails. The walleye are in a transition...

4/9/21 Fishing Report

Berlin Lake Area Fishing Report 4/9/21 Quick Reminder:  We will be having an outdoor event tomorrow featuring Berkley, Penn, Castcray, Plfeuger, and Fenwick.  Meet the factory representatives and learn more about their products!  There will be giveaways, special offers, a game for kids to win prizes, and we will have specials on hot dogs throughout the day.   Walleye- with water surface temps entering the high 40s to low 50s, we expect to see the walleye transition out of spawning mode and begin to feed.  This would be the time to begin to target bays and willows with Northland Fireball jigs...

4/2/2021 Fishing Report

CRAPPIE--some have reported catching crappie on Price Street with grubs and jigs.  Still slow, but should improve soon with warmer weather conditions. WALLEYE--you may be able to catch some stragglers at the 224 Causeway/Berlin Lake with stickbaits.   Still waiting on rain to bring the water levels up and improve fishing conditions. Look for white bass to be making their run in the Mahoning River in the coming weeks.

3/26/21 Fishing Report

224 CAUSEWAY (BERLIN LAKE) Walleye are still being caught on Hit Sticks and Husky Jerks early in the morning and late at night. Some folks are also having success with VibEs.  Fishing conditions should improve with some rain to bring water levels up.  Not much word of crappie being caught yet, but this should change when we get some warmer weather. After the walleye have run, look to see white bass making their run in the MAhoning River.

3/19/21 Fishing Report

224 CAUSEWAY (BERLIN LAKE) -Walleye are being caught on Hit Sticks and Husky Jerks early in the morning and late at night. Only a handful are being caught and it’s still pretty slow. Things are looking up after rainfall. -Reports of some crappie being caught LAKE MILTON SPILLWAY -Walleye are being caught on Jigging Raps and VibEs early in the morning. -Perch are being caught on Sabiki rigs and red worms. -The spillway has been very busy and parking is very limited, so get there early if you go.
