Walleye (Inland): Walleye have been caught in depths of 10-14 feet. Most successful catches have been reported while trolling baits such as Bandits, Flicker Shad, Flicker Minnows, and Hot n' Tots.
Crappie: Crappie have been found around bridges in shady waters, with depths of 10-16 feet being particularly productive recently. For the best results, try using soft plastics like Bobby Garlands, Panfish Assassins, or Twister Tails combined with a 1/16 oz jig head.
Wipers: Wipers continue to be active at Deer Creek, Walborn, and Berlin. Effective baits include chicken liver, spinnerbaits, swimbaits, and crankbaits. Some larger wipers have been caught trolling Flicker Shads at Berlin Lake.
Catfish: Catfish are being caught in abundance across various locations, with the best spots being Walborn and Berlin. To target these fish, use chicken liver, large nightcrawlers, shrimp, or artificial catfish bait. Additionally, catfish have been caught in good numbers by anglers trolling Flicker Shads and casting bladed baits for walleye, so consider trying these methods if you're looking for a new approach.
Lake Erie Walleye: We've received the best reports from Cleveland and Geneva, where the 60 feet of water (FOW) range has been particularly productive. Ashtabula has also been good, with larger fish coming from 70+ FOW. Most anglers are trolling Stinger and Badmo Spoons with Dipsy Divers, while some are still running crankbaits on lead core line to get them down deep.
Lake Erie Yellow Perch: Yellow perch fishing has been improving, with most reports coming from the western basin. The D Can and the Toledo Intake have been good spots lately, and around Kelley's Island has also produced good catches. A few bigger fish have been caught off the Gold Coast in Cleveland as well. Perch fly rigs, Sibiki Rigs, and live bait like emerald shiners have been productive.
