Fishing Report 6/7/2024

Crappie-

Crappie fishing has been hot! Anglers are having success around structures in the 6-10 ft water range. The go-to baits have been minnows, panfish assassins, twister tails, and Bobby Garlands. Rig these up on a 1/16 or 1/32 oz jig head for the best results.

Walleye-

Walleye are biting on a variety of different baits. While some anglers are still catching them using jigs tipped with crawlers or leeches, others are finding success trolling with Bandits and Flicker Shads towards the north end of Berlin. Drifting with a crawler harness is another effective method.

Catfish-

Catfish continue to bite just about everywhere! Reports are coming in strong from both Berlin Lake and Walborn Reservoir. Effective baits include chicken livers, shrimp, large nightcrawlers, and fish bites.

Wipers-

Wipers have been actively caught at Deer Creek, Walborn, and Berlin Lake. Anglers are having success using a variety of different lures such as chicken liver, shrimp, swimbaits, and spinnerbaits.
