Fishing Report Week of 4/27/2026

🎣 Fishing Report – Week of April 27th, 2026 🎣

Crappie:
Crappie are starting to move shallow into trees and cover. Anglers are having success with live minnows, along with Bobby Garland, Panfish Assassins, and twister tails on a 1/16oz jig head. There have also been some fish caught in the river this week.

Walleye:
We’ve had a few reports of walleye moving into the shallows, but most fish are still roaming the flats. Flicker Minnows, Flicker Shads, and jigs tipped with crawlers or minnows have been producing.

White Bass:
White bass have been really good in the river lately. Twister tails, rooster tails, and live minnows are all working well. The Greenbower area has also been a decent spot to target them.

Wipers:
Wipers have been caught at Berlin Lake, especially towards the southeast corner, and the Walborn spillway has also been producing. Best baits have been 3"–5" paddletails, medium minnows, and spinnerbaits.

Catfish:
Catfish are being caught all over right now. Best baits include shrimp, nightcrawlers, and artificial catfish bait.
