Fishing Report – Week of September 5, 2025
Walleye – Most of the action has been coming off rocky points on Blade baits. Trolling has been productive on the north end of Berlin, especially around the Railroad Bridge and the 224 Bridge. Best trolling baits have been Flicker Shads, Flicker Minnows, and Hot N Tots.
Crappie – Good numbers are being caught near the Railroad Bridge and the 224 Bridge at Berlin. There have also been reports from Reeder Road at Walborn. A few smaller fish have started showing up around Greenbower and Rock Hill, and that bite should pick up as water levels drop in the coming weeks. Top baits have been Bobby Garlands, Panfish Assassins, twister tails, and live minnows.
Catfish – The best action has come around bridges and deep drop-offs. Most reports have been from the 14 Bridge and 224 Bridge at Berlin, with the Walborn Dam also producing fish. Catfish have been caught on frozen shrimp, shad, squid, nightcrawlers, and artificial baits.
