Fishing Report 9/19/2025

Crappie – The crappie bite has been very good this week, with plenty of fish being reported around Greenbower/Rockhill, the railroad bridge, and the 14 bridge at Berlin. Anglers are finding success using Bobby Garlands, Panfish Assassins, and Crappie Magnets tipped with maggots. Small and medium minnows have also been producing steady action.

Walleye – Reports have come in from 8–12 feet of water near the railroad bridge. Fish are being caught on VibE’s and Thinfishers, while trolling with Flicker Shads and Bandit Walleye Shads has also been effective.

Wipers – A few wipers have been reported from the Walborn Reservoir Dam area. Most of these catches have come while anglers were targeting catfish with chicken liver, though some have also hit on plastic swimbaits.

Catfish – Catfish continue to be active throughout the area, with the best luck coming from Berlin Lake. Target bridges and deeper drop-offs this time of year, as they are prime feeding zones. Frozen baits such as shrimp, chicken liver, shad, and squid have all been producing well. Nightcrawlers and even artificial baits have also put fish in the net.
