π£ Fishing Report β 8/8/2025 π£
Walleye (Berlin Lake) β The north end of Berlin has been the hot zone, with productive trolling runs near the railroad bridge and 224 bridge. Flicker Shads, Flicker Minnows, and Bandit Walleye Shads continue to be the go-to choices for consistent hookups.
Crappie β The nighttime bite remains strong, especially around bridge structures. The railroad bridge and 224 bridge have been steady producers, with anglers finding success on Panfish Assassins, Bobby Garlands, Gulp Minnows, and live minnows.
Catfish β Catfish are active across the lakes, with some of the biggest catches coming from Deer Creek, the 224 bridge at Berlin, and the 14 bridge at Berlin Lake. Theyβre hitting a mix of baits, but nightcrawlers, frozen baits (shad, shrimp, chicken liver, squid), and artificial catfish bait have been standouts.
Lake Erie Walleye β Walleye fishing continues to be productive across the lake, with many reports from off Cleveland in 65β72 feet of water. A variety of presentations have been working, including crawler harnesses, Bandit lures, Badmo Spoons, and Stinger Spoons.
