Fishing report 7/25/2025

Walleye (Berlin Lake) – Trolling continues to produce solid results on the north end of Berlin, especially around the railroad bridge and 224 bridge. Top-performing lures include Flicker Shads, Flicker Minnows, and Bandit Walleye Shads.

CrappieNightfishing has been key for crappie, with the best action coming around the railroad and 224 bridges. Anglers have been doing well using Panfish Assassins, Bobby Garlands, Gulp Minnows, and live minnows.

Catfish – Plenty of catfish are being caught throughout the area, with larger fish reported near the 14 bridge at Berlin and around Reeder Road at Walborn. Baits like nightcrawlers, frozen options (shad, shrimp, chicken liver, squid), and artificial catfish bait have all been producing.

Lake Erie Walleye – The walleye fishing on Lake Erie has been excellent, with fish being caught all over, especially out of Cleveland in 40–45 feet of water. Anglers are catching them on a variety of setups including crawler harnesses, Bandit lures, Badmo Spoons, and Stinger Spoons. Some jumbo yellow perch have also been mixed in with the walleye, adding to the excitement.
