Fishing Report 7/15/22

Walleye- Walleye have been caught in and around the railroad trestle as well as near the dam just N of the state boat ramp on Bonner Road.  The Firetail Chrome Candy flicker shads and flicker minnows in sizes 5 and 7 have been the best producing baits for trolling, while anglers fishing near the dam have caught them on Jigging Raps.

Catfish-  Catfishing continues to be excellent.  The route 14 bridge has produced the most numbers while fishing from shore and the best baits have been nightcrawlers, shrimp, and chicken liver.

Wipers- Wipers have been caught trolling size 5 flicker shads in Berlin and also on chicken liver when fishing from shore in the SW corner of Berlin, Deer Creek and Walborn.

Crappie-  Crappie have been caught near the railroad trestle on sabiki rigs tipped with maggots as well as 1/16 oz jigs & Panfish Assassins tipped with maggots.  Live minnows have been producing more catfish than crappie, so look for alternative baits such as maggots for crappie.
