Crappie – The bite has been consistent, especially around structure like bridge pillars and submerged trees. Night fishing continues to be productive at both Walborn and Berlin Lake. Anglers are having success using minnows, Panfish Assassins, Bobby Garlands, and Twister Tails on 1/32–1/16 oz jig heads.
Walleye – Most walleye have been caught at the north end of Berlin Lake, with the 14 Bridge, Railroad Bridge, and Dam all producing good action. Trolling is starting to heat up, with most fish being caught on Flicker Shads, Flicker Minnows, and Bandit Walleye Shads. Some are still being caught using Fireball Jigs tipped with crawlers or leeches in shallow water.
Catfish – Catfishing has been hot, especially around the 14 Bridge and 224 Bridge. Productive baits include shrimp, chicken liver, large nightcrawlers, and preserved catfish bait. Many fish have been coming from deeper water in the 10–15 foot range.
Wipers – Reports have picked up slightly. Some fish have been caught around bridge areas, especially after rains at Deer Creek. A few are still being found at Walborn while targeting crappie with minnows, and at Berlin on spinnerbaits and crankbaits.
