Walleye:
Walleye have been staying shallow, with good numbers being caught on live bait jigs such as Fireball and Knuckleball jigs. Effective bait choices include crawlers, leeches, and medium-sized minnows.
Crappie:
Crappie are being found both shallow (around 3 feet) and deeper (8–12 feet). Anglers are using minnows along with 1.5"–2" soft plastics like Panfish Assassins and Bobby Garlands, paired with 1/32 oz or 1/16 oz jig heads.
Catfish:
Catfish are being caught just about everywhere, with most still in shallow water. However, some deeper catches are starting to roll in. All our frozen bait options—shad, chicken liver, shrimp, squid—have been producing well. Large nightcrawlers and Nitro Worms are also working great.
Wiper:
Wiper fishing has slowed slightly, but Walborn Reservoir remains the most productive spot. The top baits have been 3.5"–4" swimbaits, along with spinnerbaits and crankbaits while trolling.
