Fishing Report 5/2/2025

White Bass are hitting hard in the Mahoning River. Anglers are doing well using minnows, Rooster Tails, and twister tails.
Crappie have moved shallow and are holding in trees. Best baits include minnows, Panfish Assassins, and Bobby Garland soft plastics. Some crappie are also being caught in the Mahoning River.
Walleye action has been sporadic, but they should start moving into the shallows soon. Try nightcrawlers, live bait jigs, and shallow crankbaits for best results.
Wipers are being caught near the southwest corner of Berlin Lake, especially on swimbaits and chicken liver.
Pike have been reported near Greenbower and in the Mahoning River, with good success on Rooster Tails, twister tails, and spinnerbaits.
This week's cover was sent in by Eddie Crouser! Thanks for the pic, Eddie! We also have another nice wiper that was brought in this week from Walborn.
