Fishing Report 4/4/2025

Fishing Report: The bite is heating up across multiple spots!

  • Walleye are still being caught at the Milton Spillway and 224 Bridge, with anglers finding success using VibE’s, Jiggin’ Raps, shallow crankbaits, and jerkbaits. Smaller fish have moved near the mouth of the Mahoning River at Greenbower Road and should push into the river within the next week, depending on this weekend’s rain.

  • Yellow perch are also being caught at the Milton Spillway, hitting on soft plastics like Combat Jigs and Z-Man baits, as well as red worms and minnows.

  • White bass should start showing up near Greenbower and into the river within the next week, so stay tuned for updates!

  • Crappie are biting near Greenbower and Walborn, with most fish being caught on minnows and small soft plastics like Bobby Garlands and Panfish Assassins, paired with a 1/16 oz jig head.

  • Pike have been caught in abundance in the Mahoning River, most have been caught on minnows, twister tails, and some have been on rooster tails.
