Lake Erie Fishing Report

Happy first weekend of fishing in September! We have gotten a handful of reports for Erie and surrounding areas and here is what we have heard:

There have been reports of bigger Walleye found out in farther depths from Cleveland to Ashtabula, with bigger fish in 68-74 feet of water. The bait of choice has been Bandit Walleye Shallows in Clear Purple Pink Belly and Green Clown run off Dipsys. Anglers fishing near Ashtabula have done well in the depth range of 68-74’ with standard sized Stinger Spoons behind Dipsy Divers in Sweet Grapes. Dipsys in Sour Grapes have worked well with Bandit Walleye Deeps, run off wire, in darker colors such as Candy Corn, Party Zebra and Rotten Fruit.
