9/3/21 Berlin Lake Area Fishing Report

Berlin Lake Area Fishing Report:

Happy first weekend in September! We have gotten a few reports, and here is what we know:

The water level at Berlin is -4.07 feet below normal for this time of year. The water surface temp is 65.66° and the buoy temp at 1 foot below the surface is 76.34°.

Crappie fishing has been great out at Berlin. The fish has been in 13-15 feet of water and the best bait has been Panfish Assassins and 1/16 oz jigs. Nighttime has been the best time for fishing, and we recommend fishing near the bridges. Sabiki rigs tipped with maggots have also been working well for anglers.

Walleye are being caught on Bandit Walleye Deeps trolled in 18-24 feet of water at the North end of the lake in and around the 224 causeway. Most of the fish have been between 14-17”, but we have had reports of some bigger catches.
