8/6/21 Berlin Lake Area Fishing Report

Berlin Lake Area Fishing Report:

Welcome to the first fishing weekend in August! The weather forecast is going to be perfect for fishing, so if you are looking to get out on the water, here is what we have heard:

At Berlin, thanks to the drier weather we have been having lately, the water level is down a bit, at -1.41 feet below normal for this time of year. The water temp at the surface is 68.9°, with a buoy temp 1 foot below the surface of 78.32°.

Wiper fishing has been excellent out at Walborn, using ned rigs and chicken liver.

For Musky, the best fishing has been out at Lake Milton, and the popular bait is Northland Rumble Shads and size 7 Flicker Minnows.

Catfish are most plentiful out at Deer Creek spillway, using shrimp and anise flavored chicken liver.

If you’re in the mood for Crappie fishing, we have heard that your best bet is fishing from the shores of Berlin on jigs tipped with 2” Mister Twisters and maggots in 7 feet of water.

Enjoy the beautiful weather and as always, stop into the shop or send your reports and pics to info@talltalestackle.com or tag us on Instagram @talltalestackle
