7/16/21 Berlin Lake Area Fishing Report

Berlin Lake Area Fishing Report:

It’s the middle of July and the rain has been falling! Here is what we have heard:

There is still some action to be had at Berlin. The water level is at 1.28 feet above normal thanks to all the rain we have had. The water temperature is 72.86°, and the dam buoy temp at 1 foot below the surface is 81.38°.

Walleye are still being caught out on the water in the North end of Berlin on size 7 Flicker Shads, as well as size 7 Flicker Minnows, trolling at 2mph in 12-14 feet of water. Stop into the shop before you head out to make sure you’re stocked on bait.

Catfish have also been popular at Deer Creek and Walborn on shrimp, anise flavored preserved chicken liver and nightcrawlers.

We had a customer, pictured below, who caught a 9 lb wiper on a 1/16 oz jig.

Enjoy your weekend, try to stay dry, and as always, let us know your report or send us your pics for info@talltalestackle.com.
