3/19/21 Fishing Report

224 CAUSEWAY (BERLIN LAKE)

-Walleye are being caught on Hit Sticks and Husky Jerks early in the morning and late at night. Only a handful are being caught and it’s still pretty slow. Things are looking up after rainfall.

-Reports of some crappie being caught

LAKE MILTON SPILLWAY

-Walleye are being caught on Jigging Raps and VibEs early in the morning.

-Perch are being caught on Sabiki rigs and red worms.

-The spillway has been very busy and parking is very limited, so get there early if you go.

MAHONING RIVER ALLIANCE

-Walleye are being caught on 3” Twister Tails early in the morning.

-Only a handful of fish are being caught in the river, but things should improve after rainfall.

WEST BRANCH DAM

-Muskie have been caught on and off throughout the last week.  We are hearing up to 3-4 fish a night on good nights.  These are being caught on Hit Sticks, smaller bucktails, and other shallow jerkbaits.

If you had to choose one spot, our recommendation would be the Berlin Causeway for early morning/late evening, Milton for morning fishing, and the West Branch Dam for late afternoon fishing.  Expect the Mahoning River fishing to improve as yesterday’s rain should help move some fish up river.
